(1) The Holy Prophet( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) often sat facing the Qibla. (Ihya-ul-Uloom, V2, P449, Dar Saadir Beirut)
(2) Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar narrates that the Noble Prophet9s.a.w.) said, 'The most respected and honourable manner of sitting is to sit facing the Qibla.' (Mu'jamul Awsat lil-Tabaraani, V6, P161, Hadith 361, Dar-ul-Fikr Beirut)
(3) Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas narrates that the Noble Prophet( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) said, 'There is nobleness in everything and the nobleness of sitting is that you face the Qibla.' (Mu'jamul Kabeer lil-Tabaraani, V10, P320, Hadith 10781, Dar Ihyaut-Turathul Arabi Beirut)
(4) Sayyiduna Abu Huraira narrates that the Noble Prophet( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) said, 'There is supremacy for everything and the supremacy of sitting is facing the Qibla.' (Mu'jamul Awsat lil-Tabaraani, V2, P20, Hadith 2354, Dar-ul-Fikr Beirut)
(5) Sayyiduna Allama Hafiz Sakhawi says, 'The reason why the merciful and generous Prophet( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) had his blessed back towards the Qibla was so that the people he was teaching knowledge to or delivering sermons to would face the Qibla.' (Al Maqasidul Hasana, P88, Dar-ul-Kitabul Arabi Beirut)
(6) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar often sat facing the Qibla. (ibid)
(7) One day Sayyiduna Mugheeth arrived and upon seeing him, Sayyiduna Mak'hool made space for him by his side but Sayyiduna Mugheeth refused to sit there. Instead, he sat facing the Qibla and said, 'To sit facing the Qibla is the best sitting.' (Faiz-ul-Qadeer bitaghair-e-yaseer, V2, P649, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)
